Blue Birds

Today at Wee Play Owen made two blue birds, and after dinner I had him show Daddy and he quickly wanted to play. At this point I left to go walk the dogs, but 30 minutes later I come back to them still playing with birds.

They would fly them around the house, they would fly them high, they would fly on the bumpy table, they would eat flowers…I think I got it all. Owen played like this until bedtime, so close to an hour. Love his imagination and his attention span.

I also received my first compliment from a teacher, I had to share. Mrs. Kathy at Wee Play class commented that Owen is such a well-rounded boy. She went on to say it’s great how he is so active and playful during free play and pays close attention and participates during circle time. I must say I was proud. I also have to add that this morning (Wed) when we came down Owen wanted his birds. We started to play and then he heard Daddy and requested that “Daddy plays birds” and took the bird out of my hand to give to Daddy. Omer was able to for a quick moment but needed to get to work. After he left, Owen did not want to play birds with me. However, after lunch he did let me play with the birds.
